I thought I’d share my favorite quotes with you. I hope they touch you as much as they do me.

Imagine if everyone belonged to this religion. If you’re reading this blog, I’m guessing you also believe in kindness. You make a difference, keep spreading kindness!

I love this because it really defines kindness. You don’t have to agree or like someone to be kind to them. BEAUTIFUL.

This speaks directly to the ripple effect. The choices you make have far-reaching consequences. Each of us has the ability to change the world in small ways for better or worse.

It’s impossible to know exactly how another person is feeling or what kind of emotional battles they’re fighting. “People are complex and made up of many emotions. Every smile or sign of strength hides an inner struggle every bit as complex and extraordinary as your own. Be kind.”

Wow. I find this to be a powerful quote. People are trying to find happiness by buying things and it’s not working. But when they let love in, with kindness and compassion, happiness finds them.
“Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.” – Buddha
Forgiveness is actually a gift you give to yourself. Don’t hold on to anger and resentment, it just builds up and leaves you feeling unhappy. Let it go, forgive, you will feel better if you’re able to do that.

Words are easy, back them up with actions.

It really is the little things in life that make life worth living. And kindness is a gift to ourselves because it improves our health, our mood, and our relationships.

What we focus on grows. That’s one of the reasons we give a kindness award, we want people to change their focus from the negative to the positive. There are so many more kind people in our world! And don’t focus on what you did wrong – learn from it, but focus on what you did right.

It’s about the journey, not the arrival. Enjoy the journey because that is life. Take time to watch a sunset, smell fresh cut grass, notice the butterfly, play with your children, relax with your friends, kiss your spouse, enjoy the moments that make up each day.

We don’t tend to think about this but every action we make causes a reaction. Back to the ripple effect. Think about what you do before you do it, it matters.

Hard to pick a favorite quote but this would be in the running. It really makes you think.
