First, we would like to say, our hearts go out to everyone who has been affected by the unprecedented events happening in our world today. We appreciate and are grateful for the healthcare workers, scientists, and local communities around the world who are on the front line working to contain the coronavirus. Hoping you all stay safe.
Now for the good news. We’re excited to announce Matt’s Kindness Ripples On (MKRO) is finally on Instagram! So please follow us, comment on us, share us, and do whatever else it is you do with Instagram : )
If you’re like me, and you haven’t been able to figure out why everyone thinks Instagram is so great, I think I have the answer for you. It completely changed my opinion of Instagram.
A funny story about how this came about. Every time someone asked me if MKRO was on Instagram, I thought ok, I should check it out and get it set up. In the last year, I’ve gone to Instagram on my MacBook numerous times and tried to figure it out, and each time I’ve come away thinking, “huh?” What is it that everyone likes about this? I found it extremely frustrating and hard to use, it just didn’t make sense to me. But then I’d get asked again, and back I would go, I’d click on someone else’s Instagram account to see some examples and try and figure it out, but nope, I just didn’t get what everyone was so excited about.
Then, my niece, Dana, came to visit. Of course, there’s no surprise that it took a young person to help me see the light.
She was using her phone to show me something on her Instagram account and it was an entirely different view of Instagram. We worked together to try and figure out why I was seeing it so differently to no avail. She left, and I started digging around on google about why my format was so unwieldy and completely different than Dana’s. Turns out, Instagram does not format well with Macs (and older PC’s).
What, what, what????
That still doesn’t make any sense to me, but it’s true. Instagram works best on your phones. So, if you’ve checked out Instagram from your Mac and didn’t see the beauty in it, now’s a great time to check it out on your phone and see why everyone loves it. Better yet, go directly to MattsKindness (from your phone) and let us be your first look at Instagram the way it’s meant to be viewed.
For those of you who were light years ahead of me and already love Instagram, please check us out, follow us, comment on us and share us.
I’m a believer now, Instagram is awesome!
